2024 Annual Report – A Great Start!
The Arvada Police Foundation was formed in January, 2024 by community members to provide a mechanism to show support for the Police Department. The Foundation is an independent, nonprofit charity that can accept tax-deductible contributions.
The Foundation’s mission is twofold: to raise funds to promote the partnerships between the Arvada Police Department and the community; and to support the Department in providing exceptional police service. Our funds are raised from the community, and are not intended to take the place of the normal funding of Police Department operations provided by the City.
As you will see in our Annual Report, in 2024 we:
Sponsored a Family Day for the members of the Arvada Police Department and their families;
Established a Community Care Fund that allows officers to assist community members with immediate basic needs that can be helped with modest financial assistance, such as the purchase of a Bluetooth tracker for the family of a person with dementia; and
Started planning and fundraising for an Honor Garden to be built in Memorial Park across from City Hall to memorialize Arvada’s four fallen police officers and to honor past, present and future police service to our City.
Your donations and sponsorships throughout the year enable us to support the many events and programs highlighted in our Annual Report. Our accomplishments during our first year are because of your generous support.
